Couple & Family Therapy
Couple and Family Therapy differs from Individual Therapy in that it focuses on the relationship rather than self. These therapies may be referred to as systemic therapy, family systems therapy, marriage counselling, or family therapy. In focusing on how people relate to each other and why in their relationships, they can come to explore new positive ways of relating as well as feeling respected and valued.
Again, a couple or family may have a specific issue or event they may want support in working through, or simply in strengthening their relationship or family. This type of therapy is not always about addressing what is wrong or not working; but in gaining understanding and new ways of communicating and relating.
